Colin Page, born 1968 Papua New Guinea
Schooled in Ballarat and Geelong
BA Photography (RMIT 1990)

Colin has lived and worked in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney. He is currently based in Melbourne.

Working as a commercial photographer Colin enjoys a wide range of specialist photographic areas including Food, Product, Architecture and people.

A member of the MAP Group (Many Australian Photographers) he is currently working on their Volcanoes project, documenting the volcanic plains region of Victoria.

Colin has several personal projects that involve more unusual and technically challenging sides of photography using invisible light. He is working on two series of very large archival fine art prints from both ends of the spectrum. They couldn't be more different and yet both show everyday things in a new light. At one end we see his majestic Infra Red landscapes as huge vistas under towering skies, while at the other more powerful end of the spectrum we see massive haunting portraits in Ultra Violet light. The portrait series is not ready for the public just yet, but this is a link to a small sample of the infra red landscapes. http://www.colinpageart.com

An exhibition of the Ultra Violet Portraits is planned for August 2011.
